Abasi Rosborough’s SS18 collection was a collaboration with Fine Art photographer and environmental activist, Justin Brice Guariglia.
Guariglia’s aerial landscape photography - taken while embedded with NASA on flight missions over Greenland, showcases the devastating effects of global warming. A rare glimpse of the melting glaciers themselves.
Abasi Rosborough stands for conscious design, sustainability, and ethical manufacturing. In an act of resisting the mass waste and consumption propted by the fashion industry, Rosborough sources 80% of fabric used in his designs from limited edition deadstock fabrics.
In HYPEROBJECT, colors, patterns, and material are ll referential to the philosophical thought of Guariglia and Rosborough. Patterns sourced from images photographed over Greenland’s melting glaciers and methodical seams marry the artists’ call to action.
